100 Acres of Picturesque Grounds

Elmhurst offers you or your loved one a very personal choice in which to be memorialized, whether traditional burial or cremation burial. Our knowledgeable and attentive staff can help you understand your choices and assist you in every step of your planning.

Visiting Elmhurst

Elmhurst Cemetery offers a quiet oasis in the middle of a large, metropolitan area. As a final resting place for your loved one, the tree lined avenues and rolling hills can be a place to remember, reflect and honor those who have gone before. Cemeteries are sacred grounds. Elmhurst Cemetery staff ask you to be respectful of those resting here as well as those visiting. Please use these links to review the rules and regulations prior to visiting the cemetery.

Burial Options

Traditional graves provide various memorial options.  Some will allow the placement of a flat, in-ground marker while other areas allow for the placement of an above-ground monument.  The staff at Elmhurst Cemetery is ready to discuss the options with you.

Cremation Options

Traditional, in-ground burial options are available for the placement of cremated remains. Cremated remains can also be buried in a tradition, multi-grave family lot.

Elmhurst Cemetery also offers two areas of above ground niches for the placement of cremated remains. The first Niche Garden is located just east of the entrance to the cemetery. The Garden of Grace Niche Garden is located further into the grounds of the cemetery. Both areas offer a lovely setting with a variety of niche choices, providing families and individuals a place of solace and beauty to memorialize and visit their loved ones.

Testimonials

Beautiful! Peaceful and well taken care of considering the size. Will be spending more time there after the loss of my mother last November.

Beautiful old cemetery established in 1858. There are many large tombstones, of various styles throughout the century and a half its been around. It’s a large cemetery with many paved roads throughout, making it easy to drive through and enjoy, like a parkway drive for solemn people

The staff person who answered the phone was most polite and patient in helping me locate the final resting place of a relative of mine at Elmhurst Cemetery. Kudos to you sir, whoever you were today, that answered the phone!
